Mom had her usual check-up yesterday. Dr. Dy was impressed with how great her breathing is the overall lack of swelling she has. She is to continue on her chemo and meds as instructed. The only side effect she is having right now is weight loss. No matter how much she eats, she loses weight. Dr. Dy stated weight loss was the second major side effect from the chemo my mom is on.
Although I am super excited that she is doing great, I wish she could gain some weight. She has lost nearly all her muscle tone. Her clothes hang off her. She has no butt any more. And her calves are just pure bone.
But I'll take what I can get!
